The lemlem Foundation is the philanthropic arm of our fashion brand lemlem. Since 2006 we have been creating a pathway out of poverty for women in Africa, by supporting training and job opportunities with ethical clothing workshops, and better access to women’s health services and products.

Project SOAR in MOROCCO
Advocating for Teen girls' health
Project Soar, a leading non-profit dedicated to empowering teen girls in Morocco, collaborates with our local factory partner to design reusable menstrual products. We sponsor a Soar workshop series that is distributing menstrual kits underserved 8th grade school girls in the Marrakesh Safi region and educating them about their health, hygiene, rights, and opportunities.

Weaving Training & Upcycling
We play a special ongoing role promoting the country’s unique weaving tradesmanship and jobs sector. We support the woman-owned workshop that produces lemlem to incorporate master craftsmanship, upcycling, and financial literacy trainings tailored to help women artisans build skills and advance.
SOKO STITCHING ACADEMY in Kenya
Sewing Training
To help young women to build sustainable livelihoods in the garment sector, we partner with a top sewing academy in Mombasa with a high job placement rate for students. Our funds and donated fabrics have supported five classes of over 135 graduates so far. 80% are employed in sewing and tailoring roles.
